This is a comprehensive study guide. It covers all the essential concepts and applications related to the topics in the WACE Physics course for Units 3A and 3B.
There are over 900 questions of various types (multiple choice, short and long calculations, descriptive and contextual) with full solutions.
The questions are typical of those which often appear in school tests and examinations and are pitched at a depth and standard considered appropriate for the 3A and 3B courses.
In recognition of the need for good practice, many “drill” type questions have been included prior to actual “problem solving” questions.
The most common and widely practiced quantitative problem solving approaches have been used the calculation questions.
Valuable reference material is provided in the Appendices which can be referred to when discussing or answering questions.
In preparing this study guide, the objective has been to motivate and encourage students to take an abiding interest in Physics and to guide them to success in the Physics course, tests and examination.
