The Good Answers Study Guide is prepared by the English Teachers Association of Western Australia.
The sample answers included in this book have been selected from student responses to the 2010 WACE English examination.
The purpose of this collection and the accompanying activities is to provide teachers and students with a range of essays which illustrate positive characteristics that could be adopted by students to help improve their performance in exams and school assessments.
The answers feature some conventional and some unusual approaches to the questions, written under exam conditions, thus providing an interesting variety of responses.
The main idea behind Good Answers is to present a range of responses from many different candidates so that you can see that there is no single ‘right’ answer for any question.
The suggested answers will give you an understanding of ways to approach a question and will give you an idea of what markers are likely to reward in student’s answers.
